Your diary is yours
June is a place for your thoughts, and they belong to you alone. What you write and say is private by design — we built June so that only you can ever read your diary. We can't see it, and we never want to.
Everything stays with you
Your entries live on your own devices and sync safely through your personal iCloud, the same way your photos and notes do. They're only ever available on devices you're signed in to.
There's no account to create and no password to remember — June simply uses the Apple ID you already have. We don't keep a copy of your diary, and we have no way to open it.
How June writes your journal
When you talk or chat with June, what you say is sent to Google's Gemini AI, which turns it into the written entry you see. This is the one place your words leave your device, and it happens only to write your journal.
June keeps no copy on its own servers and stores no database of your life. Your conversation isn't recorded or kept once your entry is saved, and because June uses Google's paid AI service, your content is not used to train Google's models.
Who your data is shared with
The only third party your words are shared with is Google, which provides the Gemini AI that writes your entries. Google processes this data under its own API terms and Privacy Policy, which provide a comparable level of protection. We don't share your diary with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Never sold, never tracked
We don't sell your information, we don't show you ads, and we don't follow you around the internet. Your diary simply isn't ours to use — it's yours.
You're always in control
Your diary is yours to keep or remove whenever you like. Delete the app and the entries on that device go with it, and you can clear everything from your iCloud through your Apple settings at any time.
A note for younger users
June is made for adults and isn't intended for children.
